The Backyard Farm proudly raises beautiful, multi-generational livestock guardians. We believe that the Great Pyrenees is the best choice in a guardian/companion animal.
The Pyrenean Mountain Dog, known as the Great Pyrenees in North America, is a large breed of dog used as a livestock guardian dog. The Great Pyrenees is a very old breed, and has been used for hundreds of years by shepherds. Our Pyrs guard our goats. Although they are remarkable guardians, they are also wonderful companions to our children. This is a very affectionate, loyal breed.
We currently have no puppies. But, there are seven puppies, both male and female, available from a mother who came from our farm. Pearl is from Sam and Sasha's November 2013 litter. As of January 7, the puppies were 5 weeks old. They will be ready to rehome after January 15. Price range is $200 to $350. They are currently taking deposits to hold the pups. Picture of both parents and puppies are below. Please contact Lisa Sanders @ firstname.lastname@example.org or 404-313-1010.
